OZO for H2O (Since 2014)

OZO brand’s CSR programme strives to raise awareness on water scarcity, support campaigns for conservation of natural water resources and efficient water management through initiatives and partnerships within each property’s locale.

Participating Properties

Highlights:

OZO for H2O by OZO Chaweng Samui (since 2014)
  • In partnership with Koh Samui Watershed, the resort pledged to raise fund and volunteer to build 3 check dams in each year.
  • In 3 years since 2014, 9 check dams have been built.
  • The resort was awarded the Kuoni/GTA Water Champion Award in Nov. 2015.
OZO for H2O by OZO Westley Hong Kong (since 2015)
  • Established a partnership with A Drop of Life, a non-profit organisaton in Hong Kong, aiming to build 3 rain-saving water cellars each year to provide clean water to improve the livelihood of poor people in arid areas in northwest China.
  • Since 2015, the hotel has built 10 water cellars in Ningxia Hui and Gansu, exceeding the target.
OZO for H2O by OZO Colombo and OZO Kandy, Sri Lanka (since 2016)
  • In partnership with NetWwater (Network of Women Water Professionals), a registered organisation of women volunteers devoted to promoting the Dublin-Rio principles of holistic water management, aiming to provide a Rain Water Harvesting system (RWH) each year to conserve natural water resource for rural schools enabling them to have access to clean water for better hygiene and sanitation.
  • In 2017, both hotels contributed LKR 200,000 (approx. USD 1,430) to install their first RWH for Balana Kanishta Vidyalaya School in Kandy with 194 students and 21 teachers.

Our Initiatives

Fin Free (Since 2013)

Part of the global shark 'fin free' conservation movement, Fin Free Thailand is a nation-wide campaign to raise awareness on the serious health risks associated with consuming shark fin and the environmental impacts of harvesting.

Hotels participating in the campaign are included in a Blue List and lead the way for others to improve their policies on sourcing sustainable seafood.

Our Initiatives

ChildSafe (Since 2016)

Created in 2005, the ChildSafe Movement sets to protect children and youths from all forms of abuse and prevention from engaging in dangerous behaviors while influencing all tiers of society to create a positive environment.

We proudly entered a collaboration agreement with Friends-International in 2016 for all our properties in Thailand to become a supporter of the movement, a practice in line with the UN Convention on the Rights of the Child.
